Led by guitarist and co-founder Dino Cazares together with vocalist Burton C. Bell, the band developed a sound that combines industrial coldness, mechanical precision, and extreme metal aggression with a strong melodic edge. This unique blend has inspired an entire generation. As Metal Hammer once wrote, "Fear Factory introduced an entirely new direction in metal that still sounds relevant today."The band was formed in early 1990s Los Angeles, at a time when social tension and rapid technological development created fertile ground for new ideas.
